Technical Operations Specialist

We are looking for a technical operations expert with an education (BSc./MSc.)  in Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Process Technology or related fields. Experience in working under cGMP is required.

Your main responsibilities are designing manufacturing related documentation (e.g. master batch records and SOPs), review of completed batch records, troubleshooting during GMP-production, ownership of manufacturing process related changes/deviations and the execution of technology transfer to 3rd parties; the position requires occasional international travel.

The candidate works closely with key personnel at Quality Assurance and R&D, translating process development into GMP-compliant process steps for manufacturing purposes. You gain a broad overview of all manufacturing-related aspects with detailed insight in the criticality of the process parameters. This enables you to provide technical support and guidance to departments/staff at contract partners regarding manufacturing related issues, ensuring compliance with quality standards and validation regulations.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in a biotechnology environment and a thorough understanding of cGMP. Good understanding of state-of-the-art practice in the cell therapy field is preferred. You are an excellent team player and communicator with a strong sense of quality. You are pragmatic with attention to detail. Good mastering of English language, both written and spoken is a prerequisite.

You will be joining Kiadis Pharma, a public clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on research, development and future commercialization of innovative cell-based immunotherapy products that provide for a safer and more efficacious treatment of blood cancers and inherited blood disorders, improving survival and quality of life and addressing significant unmet medical needs.

For further information, please contact Wouter Harink, Head of Manufacturing, by email at w.harink@kiadis.com or by phone at +31 (0)20 3140 250. You can send or e-mail your application to the address mentioned below.

Senior Scientist

We are looking for a scientific expert with an education in Cell Biology, Immunology, Hematology or related fields. Experience in cell therapy and working under a quality system are preferred.
You quickly gain a thorough understanding of Kiadis Pharma’s proprietary cell based medicinal products and the manufacturing and testing activities, leading to understanding of the processes at the cellular immunological level. You are able to translate this into scientific ideas that are relevant for characterization of the final products, and for the education of treating physicians. You design studies to prove the scientific concepts. These studies can be performed internally as well as by 3rd parties; in which case you take responsibility for such studies. Building an alliance with external (commercial and academic) partners comes natural to you.

You work closely with the departments of Analytical Development, Process Development and Manufacturing by providing valuable scientific input into their activities. The candidate enjoins writing scientific protocols, reports, occasional articles and particularly CMC-related regulatory documents, such as the CMC sections of the IMPD/IND or briefing documents for authorities informing them on the most recent developments.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in a biotechnology environment. You are able to translate difficult immunological concepts into language that is understandable to non-experts. You are an excellent team player and communicator with a strong sense of quality. You are pragmatic, but with attention to detail.
